Enrollment is limited. Pre-registered attendees will find confirmation
information with their Registration materials. Others wishing to
register on site should visit the appropriate exhibit booths for
further information. Workshops are listed below:
ETHICON ENDO-SURGERY, INC. Each participant will
gain fundamental knowledge and hands-on experience in image guided
breast biopsy using the Mammotome System a minimally invasive
biopsy device used for sampling a variety of lesions both palpable
and non-palpable. Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand,
the Mammotome Hand Held can be used for ultrasound guided breast
biopsy procedures either in a hospital or outpatient facility. The
Mammotome ST uses the same unique computer technology, but is used
during those breast biopsies requiring stereotactic guidance. Gain
fundamental knowledge and hands-on experience in sentinel lymph
node biopsy procedures using the neo2000 Gamma Detection System.
Located in the Sundial Room.
IMAGYN MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIES, INC. A workshop focused
on optimizing your breast practice through maximizing your profitability,
marketing your practice and enlarging the success of your practice.
Topics covered will include a presentation on fundamentals of the
different stereotactic breast biopsy methods, how intact specimen
biopsy fits into that spectrum, and how to incorporate the variety
of biopsy methods to maximize your practice and profitability. In
addition, a demonstration of the new 22mm Site Select Stereotactic
Breast Biopsy System and how it enhances your practice will be presented.
Located in the Triton Room.
U. S. SURGICAL CORPORATION A hands on workshop from
the leader in lymphatic mapping innovation. Featured will be the
Navigator GPS Workstation, with specialty probes to satisfy your
growing lymphatic mapping needs. Gain hands on experience with the
new PowerProbe* system, a leap forward in intraoperative gamma detection.
Also, U.S. Surgical Lymphatic Mapping Packs, including Lymphazurin
1% Blue Dye, to provide all your lymphatic mapping essentials.
Located in the Moon Room.
NEOTHERMIA CORPORATION Neothermia is pleased to
announce the introduction of the en-bloc biopsy system. The en-bloc
biopsy system allows clinicians to retrieve an intact specimen from
the breast through a small incision, and achieves that task in just
seven seconds. By sparing the woman the trauma and disfigurement
of an open surgical biopsy while providing clinicians with a continuous
specimen for pathological analysis, the en-bloc system should provide
a significant advancement in the science of breast biopsy. During
the workshops, participants will have the opportunity to gain fundamental
knowledge and hands on experience in image guided breast biopsy
using the new en-bloc biopsy system. The new en-bloc biopsy system
is compatible with Fischer & Lorad stereotactic tables. The
new en-bloc biopsy system is also small enough to fit in the palm
of your hand for use under ultrasound guidance in the office, breast
center or hospital setting. Located in the Neptune Room.
SENORX, INC. Interactive hands on workshop where
each participant will be able to experience image guided intervention
techniques for three new breast devices. GEL MARK ULTRA is a new
biopsy marker clip that can be visualized by ultrasound up to five
weeks post placement. EASY GUIDE is a radio frequency device that
compliments the hand held Mammotome to facilitate accurate placement
of the biopsy probe in dense hard to penetrate breast tissue. ANCHOR
GUIDE, also a radio frequency controlled device is a new localization
and fixation device which offers significant improvements over traditional
single wire devices. Located in the Lucina Room.
FISCHER IMAGING CORPORATION MAMMOTEST STEREOTACTIC
BREAST BIOPSY SYSTEM: Discover how x-ray guidance for percutaneous
breast biopsy aids in definitive diagnosis of breast cancer. Small
microcalcifications may be the only indication of DCIS. This must-see
interactive workshop will provide the participant with tips on how
to position patients, use one-click functionality in the adjustment
of images, target lesions, and select a variety of biopsy devices.
The attendee will learn how to utilize image guided stereotactic
biopsy instruments along with needle localizations for maximum biopsy
suite utilization. This Fischer Imaging sponsored workshop will
allow the participant to learn why percutaneous tissue acquisition
is the preferred method of the American College of Surgeons in initial
diagnosis procedures for patients with mammographically detected
abnormalities. Located in the Sunrise Tellin Room.
